Point Alliance was proud to participate in the Daily Bread Food Banks Food Sort Challenge today. This popular annual event challenges organizations to come together in a race against time to sort through 63,000 pounds of food into 35 different categories. Daily Bread expects to raise up to $50,000 with every $1 enabling the organization to distribute $5 worth of food through a network of 142 member agencies and 200 food programs.

In teams of 10-12 people, Point Alliance completed against other organizations to see who could sort and box the most food accurately in the shortest amount of time.

Point Alliance has participated in Daily Bread Food Bank's initiatives for over 7 years. "This is a great event to raise awareness about the need for the Food Bank in Toronto", states John Zarei, CEO at Point Alliance. "Not only is this for a great cause but it is also a fun team-building activity as well. Our staff really look forward to the event and giving back to the community".
